Audio/Video Quality & Transcription Accuracy
IMPORTANT: The quality of your audio or video file directly affects the quality and accuracy of the transcription output.
Legal Finish Line uses advanced AI transcription technology combined with professional review for certain service tiers. However, the accuracy of any transcription service—whether automated or human-reviewed—is significantly impacted by the source material quality.
Factors That Affect Transcription Quality:
- Background noise, static, or poor recording environment
- Multiple speakers talking simultaneously or cross-talk
- Low volume or muffled audio
- Heavy accents or unclear speech patterns
- Technical jargon or specialized terminology
- Poor microphone quality or distance from speaker
- Video with distorted or compressed audio
By submitting a file for transcription, you acknowledge that transcription accuracy depends on the quality of your source material, and Legal Finish Line cannot guarantee 100% accuracy for files with poor audio/video quality.
Service Tiers & Turnaround Times
Basic AI Transcription ($0.25/minute)
Same day delivery. AI transcription using advanced AI technology for accurate, professional results. Automatically delivered to your email. No duration limit. Delivered as plain text (.txt) file.
Premium Legal Transcription (Custom Pricing)
2-10 business day return (depending on file length). Professional human-reviewed transcription for professionally recorded legal proceedings including court hearings, depositions, and formal meetings. Designed for high-quality recordings from professional legal environments. Can be certified as professionally transcribed with the quality of a certified court record. Maximum 6 hours of audio/video. Delivered as plain text (.txt) file.
Due to unique variables in each project (recording type, clarity, length, complexity, and other factors), pricing is customized to ensure accuracy and economy. Contact Sherry May Current at [email protected] for a detailed quote.
Duration Limits
Basic AI: No duration limit
Premium Legal: Maximum 6 hours of audio/video per file
Files exceeding the duration limit for Premium tier will be rejected. For files longer than 6 hours, please contact us at [email protected]
Payment Terms
Basic AI Transcription: Full payment is required upfront. Pricing is calculated based on the estimated duration of your audio/video file at $0.25 per minute.
Premium Legal Transcription: Customized pricing based on project requirements. Contact [email protected] for a detailed quote before proceeding.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We accept major credit cards and debit cards.
Refund Policy
Due to the instant delivery nature of our AI-powered services and the immediate processing costs involved, all refund requests require discussion and are handled on a case-by-case basis. We will work with you to resolve any issues and will consider refunds in the following situations:
- Technical failure preventing delivery of your deliverable
- Duplicate payment errors
- Service not delivered within the stated turnaround time

Please note: Dissatisfaction with output quality due to poor source file quality (audio, video, or documents) is not grounds for a refund, as quality disclaimers are provided before purchase.

Sherry Current is a Texas-certified shorthand reporter with 40 years of professional experience. All human-reviewed transcriptions are personally reviewed by Sherry or under her direct supervision, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.
Legal Finish Line adheres to all applicable professional standards for court reporting and transcription services.
Privacy & Confidentiality
We take your privacy seriously. All files and transcripts are stored securely and are only accessible to you and authorized Legal Finish Line personnel involved in your transcription service.
We do not share, sell, or distribute your audio/video files or transcripts to any third parties, except as required by law.
Limitation of Liability
Legal Finish Line provides transcription services on an "as is" basis. While we strive for the highest accuracy, we cannot guarantee 100% perfect transcription due to variables including but not limited to audio quality, speaker clarity, and technical terminology.
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific transcription service. We are not responsible for any consequential damages resulting from transcription errors or delays.
It is the client's responsibility to review all transcripts for accuracy before use in legal proceedings or other critical applications.
